Romsey Art Group - Art in the Park

Romsey War Memorial Park

Romsey's traditional public park is situated on the west side of town. A beautifully maintained park, it was created in 1920 from a 5 acre meadow locally known as Street Mead. It is surrounded on three sides by the world renowned River Test. Perfect for a stroll or to sit and enjoy one of the regular concerts in the bandstand, the park's facilities include a cafe, lawn bowls club, fishing, formal gardens, inclusive children's playground, tennis courts, toilets and seating.

Romsey Art Group are coming out of the gallery and bringing their skills, artwork and experience into the park!

We believe that art is for everyone, we will be running a number of activities for all to enjoy.

Plein Air – sketching or painting will take place at 10.00 am and 2.00 pm.
Each session will last an hour and a half. Bring whatever you would like to use on the day and enjoy capturing the ambiance of the event.

Community Artwork – Art is a Reflection of You! Open to all, leave your mark on our communal artwork – why not have a go?

RAG Artists – will be exhibiting, demonstrating and selling their art Art on the Railings – Enjoy as you stroll through the park and maybe buy a piece to take home.

Whether you are an enthusiastic amateur, accomplished artist or would just like to soak up the atmosphere, come along and enjoy
the artistic vibe!
