Plein Air Special for Romsey Festival - morning session
Saffron Leppard
On Sunday 19th July RAG is ‘taking over’ the War Memorial Park as part of Romsey Festival. There will be various things to get involved in and we will be painting ‘En Plein Air’ in and around the park. This is in addition to our usual plein air schedule where we usually meet on 1st Sunday of every month
This is how our Plein Air events work.
You bring along whatever media suits you and appropriate clothing and materials for the weather and venue. You chose your own subject. There is plenty to see in the park itself plus there is Sadlers Mill around the corner for a different feel. I imagine the park itself will be buzzing and it would be lovely to capture the goings on in the park for the festival.
Often people end up clustering together but you can work alone – it’s entirely up to you. If you are a bit unsure you won’t be alone – it can be a bit daunting to come for the first time – I know I felt very self conscious to be around all these ‘proper’ artists! We will look after you.
This special session starts at 10am, meeting at the War Horse we will return at 12 midday to share our work and talk over the morning’s achievements in a ‘throw down’. If there is interest we will pop to the park cafe afterwards for lunch, or a coffee and a cake too!
Parking on Sundays is free in the town. We look forward to seeing you.
