En Plein Air Outing - Itchen Valley Country Park
Saffron Leppard
On Sunday 3rd May we will be painting ‘En Plein Air‘ at Itchen Valley Country Park where I am hoping we will also see some bluebells. The park is known for its bluebells and the time of year should be about right for this
This is how our Plein Air events work.
The event is free to attend. You bring along whatever media suits you and appropriate clothing and materials for the weather and venue. You chose your own subject. We aim to pick venues where we expect there to be a good choice, something for everyone.
Often people end up clustering together but you can work alone – it’s entirely up to you. If you are a bit unsure you won’t be alone – it can be a bit daunting to come for the first time – I know I felt very self conscious to be around all these ‘proper’ artists! We will look after you.
The session starts at 10am at an agreed meeting point and we return at 12 midday to share our work and talk over the morning’s achievements in a ‘throw down’. Typically we stop for a coffee and maybe lunch at a nearby venue – that’s entirely optional
Details for the Itchen Valley Park Country Park outing
The exact meeting point will be confirmed closer to the time. The address for the park is SO30 3HQ. Entry to the venue is free but you do pay for parking. Two hours is £3.50 and three hours is £4.40. If you wanted to car share give us a shout.
