This looks to be an exciting event for all potters!

On day 1 you will prepare the pots with combustible materials, metals, oxides etc and wrap them in newspaper covered in layers of wet clay and newspaper. These will then dry for a week.

Next, the pots will be placed in the barrel with wood shavings, kindling, paper and logs and set on fire.
The next day we retrieve the pots from the fire, break off the coverings and wash them.
They are then polished and sealed for display.

People can either prepare their own pots, according to some pre-requisites, or David will supply a suitable pot.
